African Green Bee-eater Merops viridissimus
Description: measures approximately 18 to 20 centimeters, with tail streamers extending up to 25 centimeters. It mostly golden-green coloration, featuring a black strip along the eye, and displays a notable golden hue underneath during flight.
Distribution and Status: Very common, resident through most of Sudan.
Habitat: Open country with bushes, savanna, woodlands, sometimes in wadis even far from water sources.
