European Bee-eater Merops apiaster
Description: measures approximately 25 centimeters, with tail streamers extending up to 28 centimeters. The crown and hind neck display a chestnut color, while the back is golden yellow. It features a yellow throat with a distinct black breast band and a greenish-blue breast.
Distribution and Status: Common, a passage migrant from September to November and returns again from March to May. A few individuals may possibly remain during the winter months in the south.
Habitat: Open bush savannas and woodlands.
